A small group of Explorers and Leaders from 12th Stafford Beavers, 21st Century Explorers and Penkridge Explorers (Stafford) completed a 20 mile Kayak from Stone to Stafford on Saturday 4th October.
They raised over £1000 between them for a Beaver from the 12th Cedar Beavers and they are trying to raise £2500 for an all terrain buggy to help her in her scouting career. It took 7 hours and they finished with a1.5 mile trek along the canal from Haywood to 12th HQ.

The money is also for the all terrain buggy for the Beaver Scout from 12th Cedar Beavers. This Explorer has raised £2600 in 8 weeks for the buggy and has been helped by some Stafford Explorers and Leaders. The buggy now being bought for the Beaver and when it arrives, some of the Explorers will be pushing the lucky Beaver to the top of the Wrekin in Shropshire!
Also, a joint team of Explorers from 21st Century and 7A Explorer Units won the Gradbach Border Hike on the 21st September. They won the John Bradbury Trophy and £100, which was shared between the 2 units . You can see the picture here (at the bottom of the page).
