Beaver Scout Has His Hair Cut for Charity

Douglas, a 7 year old Beaver Scout from 51st Smallthorne Scout Group in Potteries North District has just had his hair cut for charity.

Not a particularly unusual fundraising event you may think, but Douglas has only ever had his hair cut twice before! Douglas’s dad also had his hair cut at the same time as he hadn’t had his hair cut for 5 years!

Their haircuts were done yesterday just before a Beaver sleepover.

Douglas and his dad raised over £650 for the Children of Chernobyl charity and their cut hair was donated to the Little Princess Trust – a charity which provides real hair wigs for children in the UK.

Well done to this thoughtful and generous Beaver (and his dad!).
