Hillwalking Training April 2020
The Mountain Team have taken on board the demand for the Hillwalking courses. They will be offering a course to cover training only (NO ASSESMENTS). The details are below.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a 1st come basis
The dates are as follows –
Pre-Course Training
31st March 2020 – Pre-course training evening, 7.30pm – 9.30pm.
St Peter’s Scout HQ, St. Peter’s Close, Stafford. ST17 4HJ
Training weekend
4th – 5th April 2020.
The venues are as follows
Saturday will either be Stanton Moor or Axe Edge.
Sunday will be the Castleton or Edale area.
The course is designed for Leaders ranging from those with no hill walking experience to those with some experience looking to improve their skills.
Cost: £40.00
Places: Maximum of 20.
In addition, if you have attended one of our previous Hillwalking courses there will be an option to attend on either the Saturday or Sunday for a navigation refresher in the morning and a mock assessment in the afternoon. Again places are limited.
