I am pleased to advertise a new and exciting role vacancy within Staffordshire Scouting of County Youth Commissioner, in line with Scouting’s Vision for 2018.

The role of County Youth Commissioner is both fulfilling and an opportunity to develop your skills. The County Youth Commissioner will work with the County Commissioner and the County Team to make sure that Scouting in Staffordshire is youth shaped and help translate Scouting’s 2018 Vision into a reality. You will have the chance to meet young people and adults from around Staffordshire and inspire youth-led Scouting and adventure across the County.

As County Youth Commissioner you would be responsible for making sure that young people are at the heart of the County’s strategies and that their views are represented at all levels within Scouting. You would lead the Staffordshire Youth Team to ensure young people can plan, implement and review their programme and the opportunities available to them, in partnership with the County Team.

Applicants must be aged 18 – 24 on 1st September 2015. You are able to nominate yourself or someone else if you feel they have the skills they need to fulfil this exciting role.
